Saging your house is also known as smudging. I’ve been smudging for years and was actually was taught to do a little mantra at the same time. I would sing as I saged throughout my home making sure to get corners where energy can lay. I remember about 8 years ago I heard my youngest in the shower singing my mantra. Made me smile. I like to sage after the house is cleaned as it helps clear out residual scents. Trystan (our dog) will often start sneezing so I’ve learned to open the windows some. I’ve actually smudged my car a few times when water made the carpet smell and after someone left their perfume scent for days after riding with me. The roots of smudging are in Native American cultures and traditions. Saging is a ritualistic way to cleanse a person, place or an object of negative energies or influences. xo, L
